The Queen Mary presents ‘The Ultimate Royal Passage’

LONG BEACH, Calif.; June 9, 2011— In honor of newlyweds Prince William and the former Kate Middleton’s official visit to California this summer, the Queen Mary in Long Beach is offering a one-of-kind hotel package fit for royalty.

“The Ultimate Royal Passage” begins with a three-night stay for two in the famed Windsor Suite. Named after the Duke and Duchess of Windsor who frequently traveled aboard the Queen Mary, the suite calls to mind the ship’s heyday when it hosted British royalty, political leaders and stars of Hollywood’s golden era. And since nothing says royalty like an actual crown, the couple who books “The Ultimate Royal Passage” will also receive a diamond encrusted tiara, as well as a men’s luxury watch upon arrival.

Additional luxury amenities include on-call butler and limo service; shoeshine service, monocle cleaning and ascot pressing; fresh flowers delivered daily; and keepsake monogrammed his and her bathrobes.
For royal appetites, a tour de culinary opulence features breakfast in bed; private Champagne brunch in the Queen’s Salon – complete with a bagpiper procession upon entry; an exclusive picnic in the ship’s engine room; high tea on the Verandah Deck; sunset caviar service at a secluded table on the Sun Deck; and dinner at Sir Winston’s, the Queen Mary’s five-star signature restaurant. A private seven-course wine-pairing dinner in the Grand Salon with an intimate performance by a string quartet rounds out the white-glove dining experience.

“The Ultimate Royal Passage” is based on availability and must be booked by phone by Aug. 31, 2011 for travel by Feb. 28, 2012.
